Meet the Team - Candice Conway

Managing director of Candice Conway Theatre School and Candice Conway Theatre Camps LTD
I.S.T.D - FDI

Candice started performing from the age of three in her local dance school shows, Hadley Highstone dance academy, around this time she acquired a love for tap dancing. By the age of nine she had sung in the Royal Albert hall with the Raymond Guppy choir. Realising Candice had raw singing talent her parents decided to send her to private singing lessons where she was classically trained and took singing exams.

Candice knew how hard the industry can be at the best of times. With this in mind Candice decided to choose a musical theatre college where she was able to gain a dance teaching qualification alongside a musical theatre diploma. With this extra qualification Candice has been able to teach, musical theatre, ballet, jazz, tap and drama from ages 3 all the way up to mature classes with adults. Candice has always had a passion for makeup and followed this passion by taking a short course in makeup for t.v. and film at The London Academy.

Candice has been fortunate enough to of gained wonderful opportunities when it came to her dance teaching career. She choreographed a fashion show for the new children’s range at River Island. Candice also produced and directed Oliver, Shrek and Matilda the musical’s starring 200 children from the Penny Waterman School of dance. When Candice is teaching she is often inspired by the interesting and brilliant ideas that children come up with, that us as adults fail to see. Candice loves working with young talent and building confidence.

Since graduating from The Margaret Howard Theatre College, Candice has performed in many professional shows including dancing on the Cruise liner Costa MSC Musica. She has played many principle girl roles in professional Pantomimes most recently Candice played Snow white in “Snow White and the seven dwarfs” and the Queen in “Rapunzel” Candice is very passionate about her performing and brings whatever enthusiasm and professional experiences she has been fortunate to gain into her work. Candice’s latest venture is becoming a voice over artist and recently recorded an advert for the National Trust.

April 2013 Candice had a crazy idea to start a summer camp, but not just any ordinary camp! A camp where the leaders would have just as much fun as the children. A chance for the children to experience fun actives that many other camps didn't offer. Candice has an abundance of experience working for many camps over the years and she felt they lacked the personal touch. This is why we pride our selves on staying in touch with parents and giving that little bit more. The camp took off with such a bang we are here again for the third year running but this time for three weeks!

We owe our thanks to our very own summer camp parents, who  last year encouraged us to open as a school and run weekly musical theatre classes. And so the Candice Conway Theatre School was born. When candice opened her theatre school last September it was her dream, to teach, encourage, and inspire young children from all social backgrounds. In a short period of time we have grown from just a handful to 180 children and we are still growing.

we proudly and actively support great Ormond street hospital, a charity close to our hearts.  Who through our fund raising activities such as our summer and Easter camps, our Halloween parties and our winter frozen days have benefitted.

The hospital does tremendous work and need everyone's support to offer the very best care to children and their families. You will find various collection boxes in the foyer area. Any donations would be warmly welcomed.

Candice and the team would just like to thank our loyal summer camp parents who are either returning again for another summer of fun or to those who have just shared and spread the word. Your help doesn’t go unnoticed so thank you from all of us!

April 2016 the Candice Conway Theatre Camps, became officially registered as an Ofsted registered child care service.
